“There’s no crying in baseball!” It’s time for the softer side of the Uber-tern to be revealed. (tear) Everyone gather your pillows around and we’ll have a heart to heart.
The top (and only) three movies that I’ve ever cried while watching:
#3 — The Last Samurai.
- Scene that tears did flow: Tom Cruise and Japanese co-star get shot by gatling gun and Japanese general of the enemy begins to cry and bow down in respect. (It didn’t help that the guy next to me in the theatre was of obvious Japanese background and let loose a stream of tears throughout the movie. It’s all his fault.)
#2 — Hoosiers.
- Guilty Scene: When alcoholic father turned screw up assistant coach goes to rehab and is visited by his basketball player son. His apology is a man’s man tear-jerker.
#1 — Braveheart.
- No surprise here: Ending scene when William Wallace sees his deceased wife in the crowd of faces as he holds true to his convictions to the grim end.
